tomatoes tomatoes, everywhere, but not a drop to eat.

Well I had my first tomato on the 18th of June and I thought well that is a record even for a brown cherry in the ground with no cover. I will just sit back and a great wave of tomatoes should be breaking over our heads any day now.
July 13th and no wave, just a tiny stream.
I read in this old book that I have about the Pennsylvania Dutch (German) and their moon lure that Tomatoes should be planted in the full moon, So I did that in April, I mean come on already. The book calls the July moon the Mead moon, I hope it is the tomato moon or I will be hitting the mead hard, anyone know a good bee keeper?

I love this stuff

Blood Sorrel, I love this stuff.
I could look at it all day long. Eat them tender and young it is a great salad green that lends a                                           mellow lemon flavor and striking beauty to any salad.
